February 2012 - pond plants, bog plants and bunched oxygenators are not being sent at the moment. We will resume despatching when the ice on the Nursery has thawed.
Portable container ponds are taking 1-2 weeks to deliver now.

Caring for your container pond in winter: the water level in the container should be lowered by an inch so that any ice can expand upward rather than forcing itself under the rim and becoming trapped. The surface of the container can freeze over but you must avoid the whole container freezing solid. A miniature waterlily in the container will not thrive if it is in frozen conditions - so wrap the container in fleece or bubblewrap for protection. See Container ponds page.

We send ready potted pond plants able to be placed immediately into your pond or portable container pond on receipt - no need for you to order baskets or compost or allow time for a bareroot plant to be rooted enough to be submerged under water. Prepare your shopping basket now and save it for Spring ordering with the 'Save basket' feature of our account facility.
