The first time we used containers as patio ponds on the raised step area to display miniature pond plants

A 15' square island site filled with water - a changing approach to displaying water plants. Both the planting in the pond and in the patio pond containers were featured here.

The use of patio ponds on the raised area surrounding the pond created interest as it made people aware that water could be used in containers to create a different and interesting effect and to show off a collection of miniature water plants or contain a vigorous specimen.
