We have been growing our own water plants in our Nursery in Leicestershire, UK since 1995 and are specialist growers of both marginal pond plants and deep water plants and water lilies for ponds and also miniature water plants and waterlilies for our design of fibreglass patio container pond features. We have a large range of British Native plants all shown by a Union Jack flag.
We are set apart from other online mail order pond retailers by offering pond plants rooted into mesh baskets using aquatic compost ready to be immediately planted into your pond or container pond. We also grow moisture loving plants for bog gardens supplied rooted in solid pots.
Our plants are sent mail order to UK destinations using the couriers UKMail or APC. We are not open to the public.
As you can see from our photos the majority of our Nursery site is planted baskets in outside water troughs where the plants will stay throughout the year. They will transfer to you at any time of year except when there is thick ice across the water. The tunnels are used for propagating cuttings and seed.
August 2016 – we start the move to a new Nursery site by taking on an acre of arable field and a block of portacabins for packing and our staff welfare facilities. We need to be completed by February 2017 to start the new season.
Follow our journey to our new Nursery premises on our Facebook page.
We exhibit our water plants and container ponds at RHS Chelsea as Floral Marquee Gold Medalists including Gold Medals at Chelsea Flower Show 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016 for aquatic plants.
We are listed as a supplier in the RHS Plantfinder where specialist Nurseries with unusual plants on offer are listed so that customers have one trusted source to find that elusive specimen.
We are a member of the HEA (Horticultural Exhibitors Association) 'From my Nursery to your Garden Scheme' which aims to identify for you, the customer, the Nurseries that grow their own plants rather than those that buy in their stock.
For good quality hardy herbaceous perennials from a Nursery that grows its own plants we recommend you use this link to Redman Hardy Plants. (www.hardyplantsonline.co.uk)
