Container Ponds for 'Ponds-in-a-pot' - mini planted patio pond water garden
Our lightweight, fibreglass container ponds make small 'ponds in pots' or mini ponds, which are attractive planted water bowl features for a patio
Available in a choice of 15 different colour finishes in 3 width sizes.
Not all combinations of size and colour are available from stock. For current availability see our blog post
Non-stock items will be ordered for you and delivered in 8 weeks.
We supply a Plant Support ring with each 60cm and 80cm pond kit to keep the pond plants in the correct depth of water to act as a pond planting shelf.
The 98cm container does not have a Plant Support ring so is better dressed in Pond Waterlilies and Oxygenating plants only.
The plants for the Container Ponds can be purchased as prepared Container Planting Schemes to make the selection of a well balanced scheme easier for you.
Ten Container planting schemes to chose from:
5 for the 60cm pond and
5 for the 80cm pond
Some Container Planting Schemes suitable for sunny and others for shaded conditions. Sunny schemes contain miniature Waterlilies and Iris, shaded Planting Schemes are more foliage based.
You can also choose your own plant selection via the Pond Plant and Waterlily pages. Always remember to add an Oxygenating pond plant to keep the water fresh even though it will be submerged and out of view.
As the container ponds have only a small volume of water, we recommend Barley Bio Algae Control to inhibit greenwater and algae growth - 1 x 10ml measure added fortnightly in Spring and Autumn and weekly in the warmer Summer months.
