The attached pictures are the result of much TLC, but the pond gives enormous pleasure & is worth all the effort & aggro. We cut the plants back in October, cover with netting till March then use the pond vac & put a fertiliser tablet in the plant containers. We use liquid barley straw, pond clear, & bio activator throughout the spring & summer and the pond is really healthy with newts, dragon flies, water boatmen, frogs, toads, and gold fish. 2 CD's suspended from the branches of a nearby apple tree are my Heron deterrent!

Our pond started life as a patch of rough grass in 2006. We put in a small waterfall and allowed the pond to follow the lie of the land, going from a large pond into a small pond and then overflow when it has rained a lot into a bog garden. The frogs make good use of the small pond and fill it with frogspawn each year. We have plenty of frogs, toads, newts, dragonflies and damselflies. It is the best thing in our garden as far as we are concerned and always a delight to sit beside and observe. Anyone can make a pond. It doesn’t have to be this big. The little pond at the end would attract a lot of wildlife on it's own.
Love the plants that we have bought from you!

We made our 2 ponds in 2010 and visited you at Malvern in May. We have enjoyed watching wonderful wildlife visiting the ponds ever since, including every year frogs in 1 pond and toads in the other and newts in both, not to mention an amazing array of damsel and dragonflies. Prompted by you I have submitted our results annually in the Great Spawn Count. Here are a couple of recent photos. As you can imagine there are loads more if you want them! Thank you for helping us to create this beautiful wildlife sanctuary.
