- Gridded Plant Support Ring with extension bars to enable marginal plants to be located in their baskets above the floor level in our 80cm fibreglass container.
- This positions the plants at their correct depths and stops them blowing over in the wind.
Dwarf waterlilies sit on the floor of our container below the grid. The support ring will go inside the container rim with the bars closed and then the extensions need to be pulled out horizontally by 4cm (1 1/2") each to allow the ring to sit higher in the container. (The extensions are not legs but give extra width to the ring).
When the ring is sited correctly the top of the plant basket should be approx 5cm (2") below the expected water level. The cable ties can then be tightened. The 11cm plant baskets locate in the grid in the square sections and the 9cm baskets stand in the 'non square' sections. This allows the rest of the container to be filled with water so helping to keep the water temperature as stable as possible.
These Support rings are 60cm wide with potential extension to 70-75cm wide and are not necessarily going to suit a container of a different size or with a different angle of container side.
