  • We select plants for you for a wildlife pond area of between approx 2 - 3.9 sq m (21 - 41 sq ft)
  •  6 portions Native submerged oxygenators, 8 shelf marginal plants (sent as 6 upright shelf plants & 2 rafting plants, ready potted),1 waterlily (ready potted) All plant choices depend on seasonal availability.

Plants chosen will include a mix of horizontally rafting and upright emergent growth plants to encourage breeding newts and emerging dragonflies. Good plants for pollinating bees, hoverflies and butterflies will be included too. (See Planting a wildlife pond page).

We recommend the additional purchase of 1 Aponogeton distachyos if it is seasonally available to add to the surface cover and flowering interest period of your pond

The plants will come wrapped individually in their mesh baskets and will need to be placed in the pond at the correct depths for each different species. There will be a selection of depths involved so that each area of the pond creates a habitat for a different wildlife group.

Refer to individual plants for maintenance details of the plants in this collection. All plants are selected to provide interest in each area of the pond and in each season.

Other pond sizes are available on Planting Schemes pages:

Choose from: 1 square metre surface area pond - go to Pond Scheme size 1 Start up for Wildlife,   2 - 3.9 square metre surface area pond - go to Pond Scheme size 2

4 - 6.9 squ metre surface area pond - go to Pond Scheme size 3,   7 - 14.9 squ metre surface area pond - go to Pond Scheme size 4,  15 - 25 squ metre surface area pond - go to Pond Scheme size 5.

Each scheme can be chosen as 'Mainly British Native plants' or 'Any plants from our range'

Very good service. Helpful guidance on the phone. Plants arrived as expected, boxes were a bit bashed but despite that the plants were in good shape, minus a few leaves. Looking forward to seeing the results.
