Cut back leaf growth after Caltha palustris has flowered and allow fresh foliage to regrow - old leaf growth can go grey. British Native Caltha palustris is good for colonizing areas to encourage wildlife as it gives plenty of habitat opportunities. It will spread by seedlings if allowed to. It is good habitat for toads to lay eggs amongst and is loved by hoverflies, bees and butterflies.

As always, I received sturdy, well-grown plants, carefully packed to survive the delivery process, which have established well and quickly in the pond. One is already starting to flower after little more than a week. I would never buy pond or marginal plants anywhere else now. I know if I buy from Waterside, the plants will thrive.
