Pam Ayres meets Waterside Nursery Gold Medalists 2011

Our chat with Pam Ayres:

What a year - 2011 - Our first Chelsea Flower Show Gold Medal and we meet Pam Ayres. Wow! For a small family run business that was all huge.

Waterside Nursery did a 3 minute BBC TV interview where we chatted beside our exhibit. That may not seem a long time to all of you but its impact was huge. When it was repeated on the Sunday highlights programme we just couldn't believe it. Our year took off!

Pam Ayres asked Linda from Waterside Nursery for advice at Chelsea 2011 about planting her pond to encourage more wildlife creatures to visit her garden and how to help both pond & wildlife to survive and flourish.

She also fell in love with our container ponds which she instantly named "portable ponds' (in that wonderful accent of hers) and she said that she could imagine people taking them with them if they were to move house. What a lovely chat we had!
