Common Name - Hornwort
Supplied as - Loose plant stems and pieces sent barerooted ready to drop into pond. Pieces can be small dormant buds - does not bunch. A portion is measured in a rice takeaway dish but wrapped in newspaper & a plastic bag for sending. Not sent in the plastic dish to each customer.

Care Tips - Allow Ceratophyllum demersum (Hornwort) to grow until you have 30% of your pond volume filled then remove some by hand - take out the clear stems not the dark green/olive brown stems in summer months.
Extra info - The bulk of Hornwort will drop down to the bottom of the pond in winter & break down to small buds to protect itself from frost and ice. In a new pond, the stocking rate of oxygenating plants should be 2/3 portions per m² of surface area.
